Top 5 Antivirus Software of 2017

When it comes to Windows, virus and spyware protection is a must. With so many protection software packages on the market, we have picked 5 of our favourite software packages that we know work and believe are worth downloading. Some of these offer a free trial package with a basic cover and will allow you to upgrade to premium protection.

1. Avira
Avira is constantly growing. Covering Windows, Apple and Andriod products. They have a great Free anti-virus protection package is great and does everything you need. It’s reliable and the firewall is customisable to your need.

2. Bitdefender
This is a great brand when it comes to protection for your device. Working like a terminator which goes into autopilot making all the relevant decisions for you to give you the best protection. You also don’t need to worry about popups and alerts every few mins.

3. Symantec
Known to us as Norton Antivirus. Its long service in the sector and internet protection is enough to demonstrate it’s knowledge. Always a winner when it comes to virus protection on all types of devices. However, it does need a sizable amount of memory as it takes some space.

4. Kaspersky
With over 300 million users with protection, Kaspersky is a giant within the virus protection business. It has the ability to work with all types of infections and a reasonable price. Another good, well known reliable software.

5. McAfee
McAfee now being owned by the giant Intel. A decent and reliable software and some great feedback from users. It also has a dedicated customer support centre to give users support with the serious problems.

There are plenty more on the market and have some great reviews. We picked 5 of our favourite as we have used these and know they work well.
